What is clinical hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a way of accessing our subconscious mind, it’s in the subconscious mind where we store everything that’s ever happened to us, our personalities, habits, memories etc. our subconscious is the deepest part of us.

We also have a conscious mind, this is the analytical part of us, it acts like a doorman or gatekeeper to our subconscious mind, under hypnosis, we can get the “gatekeeper” to step to one side and gain access to the subconscious where we can achieve real change.

What does hypnosis feel like?
Hypnosis can best be described as a daydream or trance like state. All of us go into a state like this throughout the day, when we are driving or watching TV for example.

Going into hypnosis is slightly different for all of us, some are more susceptible than others. About 20% of us will go into deep hypnosis (they are called somnambulists), most of us will find we drift in and out and sometimes it is like we are just lying there and at other times we will drift into a light trance. There is a small group of people, for which hypnosis will be very light or may not work at all, however this is rare.

One thing is absolutely certain though, is whether you go into a deep state or a lighter state of hypnosis, your subconscious mind will not allow you to do anything that you wouldn’t want to do, so you won’t go jumping around like a rabbit!

What is Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)?
NLP is a series of techniques which allow you to reprogramme your subconscious mind and to eradicate any limiting beliefs, fears, phobias, habitual thinking or habits which are stopping you from being the best version of yourself you can be.

NLP can be used in hypnosis, or when you are full conscious. It is powerful and it is very quick and effective.

What is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)?
You may have heard of others referring to ‘tapping’, it has had a lot of publicity lately, EFT is tapping which works on the meridian lines to clear blockages, whether they are emotional, physical or a combination of both. It is extremely powerful and can really help with a plethora of problems and ailments. As a fully trained EFT practitioner I can take you through the whole process and clear any blockages which may be causing you pain.
What is Mindfulness?
Most people know mindfulness, as being in the present moment, however it is so much more than this. One of the most powerful things we can do is to be aware of the part of ourselves called the ‘ego’ and how the ego can lead us into very negative situations as well as patterns of thinking and behaving. Mindfulness can really help to obtain peace and freedom from limiting and negative thought patterns. As a fully trained mindfulness practitioner I can provide you with the knowledge and techniques which can help to ensure you have a healthy ego amongst other things.
What is life coaching?
Sometimes we can feel stuck or feel like we have lost our way or our spirit and enthusiasm. This can happen for many reasons, unforeseen change, health, just getting into a rut or stifling routine.

As a fully trained coach, I can work with you to identify the things you are happy with and the things you are not and work out a path which can move you forward into a more fulfilled and happier way of life.
